currently trying to thin of a reason when i shud be acepted for med to write on my appeal form..... not wroking... all i can come up with is "screw you f***ing system, sexist pigs and b@$+@rd$..... if you don't want me then i'll go elsewhere and be happier even if it's not med." of course, that would be my death warrant... on the other hand, i'm in no mood to beg and grovel before them........ speaking of med, apparently jiang hai got in. no offense but..... *blip blip beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep* *steam omes out from ears*

on to work... apparently they've found a new person, who's apparently coming in tmr... and i'm apparently staying for another week.... *scratch head* confusing no da. they never tell me exactly when my contract ends, but i've no wish to warm the kitchen chair and come home with the ratten pattern on my butt thank you. if it ends this week i've no coplaints... only... i'm out of time sheets until my agent sends more over... -_-" and this time round, if i've to go back again cos someone quits, i'm asking for a raise. that's if i haven't landed a chance to relief teach that is... shall see the situation first, then start calling. ^_^

off to read fics then, and do my CPF thingy.... dunno wat i'm supposed to do with it also... *stares at pile of letters with passwords written on them and scratches head*

hehz... *evil laughter* i feel good now... finally managed to finish this game that i bought in primary 3.... never managed to do it before cos i always ran out of credit points... ^_^ *bounces* spas i noe... ^_^"

submitted application to adelaide today... going to do one for tazzie as well, but got to write personal statement for that one tho... haiz.... oh, and i finished the UNSW questionnaire thingy... now i got to rewrite it, cos i was filling it in when my hair was wet so i...er... smudged some ink. ^_^" *shrugs* that's wat happens when you're not thinking of whether woodlands has tigers. ^_^ i was telling that to da jie and i think she believed me.... *rofl* oh well, guess that's cos most of the time the stuff i tell her is true... vaguely.... well, maybe if you imagine hard enuff ya?

just realised i haven't been blogging much lately... no mood la, too many decisions to make... not exactly very conducive for over-hyperness and stuff.

bac to work tmr, but thank goodness wed is a hol... now if only mr lee would hurry up and check his mail... i'm giving him until wed to receive my 'threatening' e-mail, if he doesn't respond by wed night i'm going to call him and trauma him on his handphone. ^_^ and then i'll have to take leave again and pop down to school... haiz, so ma fan... i think this time round my supervisors must be thinking that i'm getting very gd at eating snake.... i've taken one half day and one whole day of leave in the past 3 weeks back ther.... and if mr lee answers by wed and is in sch this week, i'll take another half day or a few hours off again. XD ah vell. $6/h won't exactly keep me glued to the chair you know.... which reminds me, must go call chung cheng up sometime soon and ask if they need relief teachers. i'd like a better paid job for once..... and i think it's be quite an experience ne? plus, i get to knock off earlier (altho there's the waking up part) and i can walk home if it's the main branch.....

okie then, shall go check out wat fics there are again before going to sleep.....

btw, ning da, i think you shud start crossing your fingers before you come back... i'm highly tempted to borrow a whole bunch of papyrus from you again.... dun ask wat series, i still not very the sure..... or maybe i shud just borrow from lyd? hmm....... CLAMP sounds very tempting...... blogging at work again... cos never go online for the past few days..... been trying to figure out exactly where i'm headed to, cos i didn't get into med in NUS... so it looks like i'm headed to the land of kangaroos then. ^_^ went to the agent yesterday to apply for UWA and monash... going down for the fair this weekend to apply for adelaide and UNSW as well... and the UMAT. >< didn't get into the first round of selection for melbourne ui, so been put on review for the august selection.... sigh...... all this waiting is soo..... irritating... first, after the A's, wait 3 months for results.... the after get results and apply for uni... wait 2 months for interview...after interview, wait 1 month for result... after result, wait 2 wks to appeal... after appeal, dunno wait how long to see if it goes thru (which i thin highly unlikely considering that at least 50% of the rejects which is abt 500 will appeal) then afte rthat, wait till aug to get called for aussie iterview, after that, wait till nov to find out if i've been accepted in unis other than melbourne. wah lau, my ear 2004 is the year of waiting man! ><

anyways, on to less confusing things... taking leave on friday... heheheh.... *rubs hands* to go settle my applications and maybe bring mum to watch movie. ^_^ oh and if anyone's wodnering, i'm chao free now... and i couldn't care less if pple walk in...well, not really. but i'm just very free, bored and i think it would look better if pple came in and saw me typing madly rather than reading the silmarillion... right? cos got some foreign bosses here for watever reason, so they're having intensive meetings... dunno when it will all end... so, must have a... er.... image in case they happily open the door (tho why they owuld mistake my room for the meeting room will be a very big ???) and see me hiding in here doing nothing very efficently. ^_^ i'd read my yahoo groups mail, BUT... i dun dare, just in case someone actually understands wat smae of the group names mean.... and i thik whoever's reading this who knows the state of my innocence should be able to guess wat words i'm talking abt... ne? ^_~

oh yes, and to prove that neccesity is the mother of all inventions......... theb other day i broke a nail at work, and for the lack of a prper file so that i dun scratch my eyes out, i realised that a row of staple bullets can double up pretty well. ^_^ serious. it worked. ^______________^ messa very happy now. just burned 4 CDs. ^___________^ as i said before, i get a kick out of strange things..... anyway, i think i've got abt 4 more to go if i'm going to burn every song in my collection, cos my total play time is abt 8++h, and i'm burning as music CD instead of MP3 cos i'm too lazy to go dig out the manual for my discman to check if it can play MP3s. ^_^ *bounces*

the weekend is here!!!!!!!!!!!! *bounces madly* ahem. sorry. blame it on my eating half a tube of juicefuls at work yesterday and the other half today... ^_^" i had planned on starting on my new tube of wether's but in the end i got too thirsty from eating too much sweets and too lazy to keep running ard refilling my water bottle and going toilet that i decided to be good and stem the sugar rush. ^_^ be glad all ye mortals!!!!1

sadly, tmr me no watch troy.... my class abandoned me!!!!!!!!!1 *wails* sort of. so now it's either i organise it (again) or i wait for lyd to come bak from US (where she's devising a plan to bring the statue of liberty back for me... i hope) to watch it with me for the 2nd? 3rd? time or i bring my mummy to watch. *thinks very hard* maybe this time i'll be nice to lyd and bring my mummy to watch... after all, lyd's always keeping me company to watch stuff she's seen before... i think i dragged her to watch FotR and TTT when they showed the extended versions in the cinema last year even tho' she'd watched them 5? 7? times..... hehhe shoud give her an award...... which reminds me, i haven't finished her books yet. ><

work has been quite uneventful lately. thank goodness. they're still trying to hire someone to do my job, now they're smarter. they bring the interviewees in and show them the room so that they dun up and quit cos they can't take the atmosphere. personally, i think they're wasting their time. i think this is a job that's more suitable for temp than perm staff, cos even tho they make it sound nice and say u'll only be in the room for half a day, there's actually now ay you can finish all your stuff, unless it's a very slack day. sides, there's no space outside now, unless they're going to install the person in the pantry. which isn't very comfy cos the chairs are made of those ratten basket weave and you get a sore butt from sitting on them for too long. in case anyone's wondering, i was stuck in the pantry for the last 2 days of my stint there in april. and as to why i think it's more of a temp job, it's cos when u're temp staff, u dun really mind the envirnment as much cos there's always the knowledge that you can siam any time you want and you won't be stuck there for the next few years, or at least that's wat i think that's why i dun mind being shut up by myself the whole day. but anyways, i dun think they'll appreciate any of my comments, so.... ^_^

mum's bringing me to sim lim tmr. *bounces* can go buy CDs to burn!!!! ^___________^ and maybe i'll dro in at a game shop and see whether KH2 is out or not. i was surfing a site the other day when work was slack and apparently it was suposed to be released in jan 2004..... but it was on the preview page????? *scratch head* i know that FF12 is scheduled for release next year. can't wait for it, even tho' the main character looks vaguely like a woose.... at least he's a cute woose. ^_^ me liketh bishies. ^_^ and i plan to put him into my bishie museum if he meets my criteria. ^_^ so hands off everyone else.

ok, me shall get back to talking to the ning da and reading fics now...... oh yes, which reminds me, i think my anti-virus is too enthu already....... if i'm not wrong, it has recognised part of my msn messenger installation file as a threat and blocked it, so now i can't play sounds when pple want to talk to me. >< and i spent thewhole nite fiddling with it already, so it's def not a case of computer cavewomanism cos i check back with the version i installed in the office compy (shh!!) and it's definitely missing parts. oh well, at least it works. ^_^ now i can only hear pple sign in hanks to messenger plus... otehr than that.... nothing else. so just to let whoever's reading this..... if you say halo to me and i dun reply it might be becos i have 2 toolbars open and i can't see the buttong flashing... or else i'm too caught up in watever i'm doin to see the button flashing.... or i just dun want to tok to you. ^_^ hehehehhehehe. wat a great way to ignore pple. ^________^

^_^" this is wat happens when i'm not voluntarily deprived of my compy for 4 days in a row. ^______^ me compy is back at last!!!!!!! *bounces ard some more* (blame it on my lunch, i had crepe and apple crumble... yummy no da!! and high in sugar) ahem. introducing my all new (well, sort of) compy that didn't lose any files!!!! and comes with a burner!!! woohoo!!! now i can corrupt the world with my 'evil music' to qoute the ms wee and xx. ^_^ and maybe the ning as well, except i can't remember if she said that before...... *rubs hands* now to go buy blank CDs then i can start my burning spree...... any one wants gohatto? ^_^

compy got sent for repair over the weekend..... that's why i was MIA. ^_^ but it was good, in a way... i finished playing enter the matrix from niobe's POV. ^_^ now i'm trying out my hacking skills (but not getting very far) and then i'll play from ghost's POV. ^_^

back to compy repair... i'm getting my CD burner at last!! *bounces* but then, it's a qn of whether there's anything left to burn when it gets back. cos the guy said that he'll help meto back up 'my documents' and D:// (which is my anime drive), but i can't remember whether or not i backed up my winamp files and stuff into either one... *prays very hard* please please please let me have backed my music files... otherwise all my months of piracy will have gone down the cyber drain!!!!!

ahem. ^_^ i thik all my classmates are non-existent... send e-mail ask them to watch troy also never reply.... well, only xin min replied..... haiz. decisions decisions... should i be a gd little girl and use the trusty ol' SMS? or shud i just be lazy, scrap it and go with the ms wee????

MOU!!! compy dear conked on me.... think one of the fiels reqwuired for starting up got deleted in my 630 infected files list the other day... >< mum's calling the computer guy to come (hopfeully ) tonight... but i think he'll need to bring the com home for the weekend to fix... sigh.... no compy for me again..... i just hope that my files dun get wiped... i think i've back-up for my latest fic on my e-mail, i just hope i sent the latest file to my self, otherwise i'llscrem if it really gets wiped.... and all my music files!!! and my anime and gohatto!!! at least 50% of the available memory on the computer has been used and i think 75% belongs to me... ^_^"

Oh well.... if you guys dun see me online for the weekend you know why.... oh wait, my sis said i can use her laptop to surf.... but i dun like typing on her keyboard... and her mouse is too small and i've to cover my tracks too. >< bleh.

btw, i need pple to watch troy with me.... any takers? ^_^

work today was very exciting ne~ there was a blackout in the whole building that lasted abt 1h ^___________^ an excuse to slcack. tho it was a little scary. cos sudden there was this "piack" sound and everything went off.... and there i was holed up in a totally pitch black room wondering "oh shit, what did i press/kick?" so i wandered out to find the whole office in various degrees of pissed-off-ness and amusement. ended up wandering ard (catwalking) the aisle btwn the front door and the wall that separates the meeting room from the main office. ^_ not my fault. i didn't have a desk outside and i can't just plop myself into any of the sales pples' chairs in case they come back and tell me to get lost. ^_^ it wsa quite funny tho, cos a few pple had to climb the stairs all the way up to the office, and when they finally got there, they realised the aircon wasn't working as well. XP in the end, the power was restored and it was back to work... good thing the server had back-up power and didn't crash when all our stuff went out, otherwise i would have throttled the computer.... all my printing would have disappeared and i'd have to redo it. ^_^

one regret tho... (to qoute one of the sales pple) why didn't the blackout happen at 4pm? then we could all have gone home. ^_^ but i got to noe some pretty interesting stuff in the meantime.... one guys used to work in sentosa, and when his office blacked-out, everyone put on their shorts and swimsuits and went to suntan outside. ^_^" and someone else was speculating whether it was sept 11 again... -_-" i was wondering whether i was bo liao enuff to go force open a window somewhere and stick my head out to see if the kiasu s'poreans had come to the same conclusion as her and had evacuated and gathered at the foot of the building "just in case"... oh yah, and altho' this has no relation, just thot i'd add... the glass of the office opposite mine fell out, cos there was this whole area cordoned off downstairs, and a missing pane on the 2nd floor. i hope there weren't any cars going along when it fell, it was next to the road.

ran out of staples in the end... so i had to go to the stationery shop and buy a box... which was a little longer than the ones i use but at least they fit into the stapler, thank goodness, otherwise $6.40 of my $$$ gone out the window. and in case anyone is wondering, i'm not claiming it out of the office fund, cos it was sort of my fault that they ran out, apart frm the fact that i use them, so it's like.... penance? *shrug* well, i've a habit of not placing re-orders until it's really last minute, so now must learn to be more kiasu. ^_^ oh yah, and i ~lurve~ the new stapler the office got... much much much more user friendly than the older one i had to use... now i dun need to staple the poor little booklets with the force of cutting a chicken's head off. the real one, not the one training to be a military policeman (what is the world coming too...... pple like him are upholding the law!! *gasp* and while i'm at it, let me congratulate him on getting a gf. ^_^ girlfriend, not guardian force, altho' maybe it works that way too ne?) where was i? oh yes, the stapler. and i dun spend half the time pulling the darmn bullets out with the pliers cos they'll go thru no matter how i punch them. ^_^ *swoons over stapler*

not working for 3 wks has had serious effects on the portion of my brain not in cold storage/lalaland. ^_^" *dances ard the mulberry bush*

so.... after tmr, i'll be left running the show cos 2 pple are quitting. well, 1 actually, cos 1 left today.... means i've to be my "supervisor's" telephone operator.... heck, i think if i dun turn up one day, they won't noe until someone walks in to use the shredder. i dun see anyone when i come and i dun say bye bye when i leave. ^_^ i shud write a guide: "how to be a professional anti-socialist" ^_^

troy is coming out on fri!!! *waves banner* i want to watch!!!!! the time hath come for me to drag the lydia out for a movie... hehehehehehehe.......... and return her library books before i work up a fine on her dad's card..... for watever starnge reason, my IC didn't work when i scanned it..... must rememebr to bring my library card along this time..... or maybe i shud just try scanning my driving license? *rambles to self*

er... ok..... blogger changed their layout again.... now it's back to the layout before the current one (aka: the irritating where you can't see your posts) except it's more.... colourful? *scratch head* *shrugs*

so, it was back to work for me today...... i think i swore at my alarm clock when it went off this morning. ^_^" i was having some nice little dream which i dun remember now.... and then the stupid thing goes off. bleh. >< work was ok. think quite a few pple were very surprised to see me back there. heh. nice and busy, cos the person who took over me when i first worked there and whom i'm now taking over (long story, i'll talk abt that later) was on 1/2 day on friday, so the poor printer was in overload the whole of today, and probably tmr. there're a few huge orders that i paused (1,000 + 1,500 + 2,000 = 4,500 cheques = i can forget abt using the printer to print other stuff for most of tmr) so that i could get ther smaller ones done and out of the way... not like the paper will last that long. so i spent the whole day packing stuff... and i dunno how long i can keep that up cos we're running out of staple bullets and she forgot to place an order, so... hopefully they dun run out until the supplies come in, otherwise i'll be shaking leg in the computer room. not that i mind tho' *big grin*

ok, now for the long story mentioned above. see, when i first went to work there i was filling in the gap while they were waiting for the new perm stuff to come in. abt 2 wks after i started, 1 new girl come in, then another the week after, which was the same week i left. and now 3 wks later, i'm back on 'urgent' mode cos... *drumroll* their last day is tmr and wed. *face fault* not that i blame them for leaving so son, i think the job's quite...... bleh. for instance, the girl that i 'trained' is now confined to the room cos they ran out of desks in the main office. so unlike me (who voluntarily doesn't want to sit outside and face the world doing nothing) she has to sit in there the whole day. now i'm starting to wonder if they actually plan to hire someone new or just stick to temp staff, cos if the turnover rate is represented by them then...... *shrugs*

also had to take a few phone calls today.... man, now i know how telephone operators feel when u dial 100 and ask for directions on how to get to some oolu part of the island. i had an aussie call frm aussieland to complain abt being charged for something, and i had to wait for the guy to finish his grandfather story (he was drawling and speaking VERY slwoly) before i could tell him that i couldn't help him and transfer the call...... then got somone else call and ask us to issue a chequebook for them, but she forgot to tell us wat company she's from until i asked her when she was abt to hang up.... and they only have 1 cheque left, want to change the name, and want the whole thing ASAP... as revenge, i put her right at the bottom of the print list. hahahahah. XP

catching up on my online life in advance for the next few days.... can't believe that i'm actually looking forward to going back to work... *shrugs* oh well. at elast this time (to qoute my sis) i rule over there. ^_^ sort of. cos they're pretty desperate apparently, therefore i can be naughty... hehehehehehhe.

update on my sudden literary streak: 3 more chpts done last night, but i think it's getting a little too boring and repetitive, cos all my action can only happen in a space of 7 hours every night. (and i think no one understands wat i'm talking abt now) but i did a little chapter map, grand total of chapters currently stands at 14, excluding prologue and epilogue. ^_^ very big project ne? it might extend to slightly under 20 altogether if i find that my chapters become too long. i've a strange thing abt not liking my stuff to exceed 4 pages on word using pt 12 TNR. everytime it goes past that, i'll be owrrying how much space it'll take up on an ff.net page (which isn't that much actually, but still..... it's just me. ^_^

just deleted lots of extracted scanslations in an attempt to free up some space on my compy... it seems to be lagging a little lately... dunno why also. sometimes it'll sort of hang for a moment, only it's not 'hung' cos i can still move my mouse and click open other windows, but my playlist freezes and i can't type anything. any suggestion on how to 'un-lag' my com?

happy happy joy joy.... six chapters of my fic done, seven including the prologue. ^_^ *beams* very pleased with how things are moving this time. ^_^ just hope it keeps up, cos i've a feeling this little ficcie of mine will turn into a mini epic... i think i like writing in AU, leaves more to the imagination. ^_^ shall go write some more and proof read it too... some of my capitalizations didn't come out cos i forget to hit the shift key. >< and now my ego is bugging me to post it already... tsk tsk. let's see how long i can resist temptation this time. ^_^

got to play chauffer today. ^_^ drove to goodwood park, then after that drove frm mum's office to balmoral hotel, sent grandma home, then drove to cold storage and back home. oh, and my driving license finally arrvived. ^_^ *bounces* one more card to put into my already full wallet. hooray!

got a call from the agency today, they want me to go back to global refund on monday, so there goes all my late nite reading/writing. sigh. but i kinda glad to get back to work actually. it gets kinda boring just... rotting at home with absolutely nothing to do since i've been unofficially banned from using the computer for 8+h at a stretch every single day. of course, i make up for it by doing that every other day. ^_^ but i digress.

yup, me going back to work in the place that had me screaming expletives in my bloggie... tsk tsk. i think the girl who took over me quit, after one month, quite an accomplishment for her, since she told me that at her previous job she only stayed for a day. -_-" means it's back to shutting myself in the room with the machines for a full day as usual. honing my anti-social skills after not using them for 3 weeks? ^_^ they said that it'll be for an indefinite period, but methinks that if they haven't found a replacement for me, i'll get out of there maybe... 3 wks to a month before NUS term starts. assuming i get into med that is. let me go do some calculation to see exactly how much i'll be paid for a month at the rate of $6/h... wah lau, $960 only??!?!?!?! haiz... heck la, too lazy to call agent and bargain for a....... 50 cent raise. ^_^"

but there go all my plans to go on a movie marathon with lyd next week. sigh, was thinking of dragging her to watch 50 first dates and maybe van helsing. ^__^ and of course, the week after that i was planning to drag her to watch troy with me, then she can drool over brad pitt while i drool over orlando bloom. ^_^ so guess the only times i can go out will be saturdays and maybe friday nites. haiz....

going to type my fic after this, wrote out another chpt last nite. got to get it down on paper asap, since i prob won't have time again when i start working.... which reminds me, i've got to find out exactly how long i'll take to get to work now, cos all my buses were rerouted since i've to pass nicoll highway.... maybe i'll go and check out the website... if they still have the new routes up there. >< i dun like to wake up early. bleh. >< and i've just realised that i need to buy more sleeveless tops. it's torutre to have to sit in lau pah sat wearing sleeves in such weather. *faints* i wonder if i've to go post office still? it's a gd excuse for me to take more time off for lunch... hehehehhehehe. ^_^

happy happy joy joy. ^_^ abt 3 chpts of my new fic have been written. i think. cos this time i didn't split them into chpts straight away. sort of easier in a way since i dun have to open so amny word docs when i want to check back on stuff..... must be extra careful this way tho, wouldn't want an encore of wat happened to my poor winter fairy when i accidentally saved a blank doc over my entire file and poof! gone. ><

anyway, back to my fic. quite happy with the progress... half is typed out the other half is in writing. cos mum sent me off to bed at 12 last nite. >< well, wat she doesn't know is that i stayed up till 2 writing on my bed. XD bad me. ^_^ must really get as much of it down on paper asap, cos i just got inspired as to how to make the story flow and all that stuff. XD so exciting!!! hee.... this is wat happens when u've been trying to write for a long time and failing. ^_^ stole the names for my original characters from a book i'm reading now. ^_^ hectrix and danin... sounds nice right? right? [you better say right, else i'll cry and throw a tantrum] and another one is courtesy of a brand/distributor i remembered from working in global refund: tyan. hhehhehe, what can i say... the en^2 is bad at thinking of original names that sound... apporpriate, if that's the word to describe it.

dad just came home from china. mum let me drive to the airport, then i got to drive the car to the pickup point. ^____^ me very pleased with self, cos i managed to reverse park the car succesfully. well, a little too close to the curb, but i didn't mount the curb!! *beams* i deserve a sugar treat for that. ^_^

off to read fics now and then to watch tv at 10... then shall pretend to be sleeping but actually writing after that. ^_^ got to use up all that rough paper i put away in my file ne? ^_^ help kill wat's already been killed in the environment.... i'm rambling. i'm not making sense. i should shut up and get lost. *shuts up* *attempts to get lost in house*

yay! it works. ^_^

mum let me drive today. ^_^ *peace sign* not much really, cos as i said before insurance only kicks in tmr. i got to drive in the estate. drove to lyd's house in the morning to pick her up, then drove her back in the faternoon after mum swung into the estate. i managed to reverse out of the side road from her house too! ^_^ then i also managed to park the car in our porch without scraping any paint off. ^________^ feeling very proud of that, cos it's my first attempt and my sis usually got mum to do the parking for them back then. ^_^ *pats sle fon back and rewards self with chocs*

me very full now.... the result of having a huge lunch/tea...... very wide awake too cos i took an afternoon nap. ^_^ to digest the food and cos i stayed up till 3.30++ this morning reading fic. ^_^" very addictive no da. reading divinitas which the ning da recommended. it's quite good, but super long... and not to mention, it's also not finished. >< oh well... ^_^
tea today was fun. lyd and i were deriving lots of pleasure frm recounting the history of all their pets, all of which ended quite tragicaly. ^_^ it was all in an attempt to make everyone lsoe their appetite while eating, unfortunately it didn't work on my family cos we all have... strange dinner conversations... but i think my sis' bfs were turning slightly green. hahahahha. ^_^

we ate at shangri-la. the food was pretty good. they have a tea menu that has like.. 100 types of tea, so you've to select wat you want, then you'll have an individual pot. i chose caramel tea. ^_^ tasted pretty ok, except it grew cold too fast, then the caramel taste became overpowered by the tea-leaf taste. wat's the chemicl? tannin? something like that. *shrugs*

i need to write... bleh. but it's so much more fun to read fic! >< sigh. off to entertain self now. ^_^

busy busy busy... all those offers to reject and things to reply to.... sigh.

anywayz........ *drumroll* ME GOT MY DRIVING LICENSE!!! *waves receipt madly* that's my temporary license. cos now it's a photo id kind, so i couldn't get it straight away. ^_^ got to wait for.... less than a month (how helpful that info is. ><)

i managed to break my sisters' record of demerit points as well... so it's an added bonus. got 10pts altogether, bothe of them got13... or was it 15? ^_^ might have gotten more, but i think the tester didn't realise that i actually moved off once in the wrong gear. ^_^ and i kena sabo-ed by this grass cutter. >< he was mowing the grass in my directional change course... just finished it as i entered the side lane. anywayz, he happily deicded to corss the road right behind my car just after i finished my safety checks and was about to reverse!!! *waves fist at worker* wah lau, good thing my instructor the night before told me that i need to look backwards for at least 2 seconds before looking eselwhere when reversing, otherwise i think i really would have run over him!!! scary man, i jammed the brakes the minute i saw him happily strolling past the back of my car, think the tester must have been getting ready to fail me if i got just a little closer to him... after all, in the world of driving, pedestrains and cyclists rule. unfortunately. ^_^ next, i think i almost ran up the kurb while exiting from my narrow course, cos the tester stopped the car and opened the door to look at the curb. ^_^" heng ah...... on the whole, the whole test was pretty good. i think he cut my route short, cos instead of having me do a U-turn and doubling back to the centre, he just took me on a large round, did a right turn and came back to the centre. think i was one of the earliest to reach back. after that, had to hang ard and wait for some stupid safety on the roads video screening before they endorse the test results so that we can go apply for our licenses. -_-" it was a crappy video. but it had lots of fast cars. ^_^ basically all the cars were shown crashing into one another etc, then a few horror stories abt speeding, drink driving and the likes. honestly, if they want to scare pple off the roads after getting their license, they're not far from acheiving their goal.

so, the en^2 hath not hit the roads yet, i'll have to wait till mon to do that since i need to get my insurance covered to handle my mum's car first, and they couldn't process it fast enuff on fri. >< but mum might let me drive ard the estate tmr to get a fell of her car.... how fun. ^_^ it'll be really different, cos everything's different... the height and length of the car, the position of the gear box and of course the switch to auto from manual. i think auto will be more convenient, dun need to worry abt changing gears and all that crap. ^_^

after driving test, came home gobbled lunch and then went to da ban for interview.... reached NUS at 2.45, and almost immediately got called into the room. wah, i think that the pple doing the first round for my team are either very fast, or someone got kicked out early. cos my team was the only one that actually had a Q outside the door to the room for the 2nd round. the rest didn't have Qs at all... i waited almost 1/2h btwn my first and 2nd interviews, granted that it was cos i went in early for the first round and technically had to wait till 3.30 for the next one. in total, i think the first one alsted abt 10-15min, then the 2nd one for abt 20min.

the interviews were ok, was slightly nervous before going in, but the pple interviewing me were quite nice, so it felt more like an ordinary conversation. first team was a prof and a dr, probably both lecturers. they asked the usual 'why do u want to do med' kind of qns, and also a few qns that vaguely resembled wat my sis went thru with me on wed, so i think i handled them pretty well. they also asked whether i'd chose UK or s'pore to study in cos i told them abt applying all over the place. no guesses as to wat my ans would be. ^_^

2nd team was also quite friendly, consisted of a dr and a (i think) nurse. their qns were more tricky, and i think that the doc was trying to make me fumble cos he kept throwing up contradictions and 'wat-ifs' to my replies to the scenarios that they gave. really grateful now to the doc who let me do my attachment with him in the beginning of the year... the info and experience really came in handy. and i think the interviewers had a better impression of me (the 2nd round) after i mentioned that i did my attachment, cos before that they were asking me abt clinical research and i didn't know anything abt it. could practically see the 'oh' and lightbulbs on their faces when i mentioned my attachment. ^_^

on the whole, i enjoyed the interviews. yes, ENJOYED. sounds strange, but that's me. ^_^ i'm happy that i tried my best, so now i shall just wait and pray. ^_^ and read fics. ^_^

very long post ne? wat to do... with 2 impt events happening on the same day. ^_^ anywayz, me going for lunch/tea with mum, sis and their bfs and lyd tmr. lyd will be my talking companion and if anyone asks, i'll intro her as my pet dog. ^_^ bad me. at first i was teasing her over the phone and said that i'd intro her as my bf. and she started trying to act manly such that i had a real coughing fit.... O.o very scaree no da. ^_^

off to read fics now. shall check out the other fic the ning da recommended.... but it's kinda long.... 58 chappies...... oh well. then if i'm still awake by then, i'll go write a leetle. got lots of fragments for my fic floating ard in my head, but i dun want to put htem down randomly. trying to be more orderly and sequential, which means i've to write faster before i forget. busy busy busy. ^_^ ja!
