2 week summary

whee! ok, just woke up... feeling a little woozy cos of the 12h time diff btwn NY and home. XD

anyway, all hail executive economy class!!! lot's of leg room, a nice footrest that has enough space for me to cross my legs on the chair, snacks throughout the flight (not that i actually was motivated enough to get out of my chair adn walk tot he galley to get them, i depended on sis and mum to feed me everytime they went walking. i jsut... sat and watched movies and slept.)

*saved and continued the next morning at 10am*

yes, i'm awake. been awake since 6 actually. ended up playing bomberman and my very old gameboy... yanno, the type when it was still heavy enuogh to kill someone and in yellow and black. XD hahaha. anyway, continuing with the summary.

flight to NY was entertaining... was seated right at the back with sis, so we got served dinner last, so there wasn't any duck left, had to eat the salmon (i'm now prejudiced against salmon, ate too much of it in the first few weeks of cooking, so now i feel vaguely queasy if they don't drain all the oil off. ^_^") ya, so the leading steward was really nice abt it, he sneaked us chocolates from first class and kept dropping by to make sure we weren't starving to death or anything. XD then he asked wat we did, so i said sis was a psychologist and i was a med student. then he said that he should send his crew to go to her for counselling cos all of them were a little smthg wrong up there. XD (and actually, one of the stewards DID look vaguely pychotic... or highly stressed. haha) watched loads of movies and trashed sis very satsifyingly at reversi. XD she won a few games tho, but i still beat her. hahaha, guess all her trashing me at it when we were kids finally paid off. XD

anyway, first day there was woodbury common!! aka: factory outlet shopping, omg, soooo cheap!! there was branded stuff on discount, and then there was FURTHER discount at the register!!! too bad i got a bit KO'd towards the middle cos of jet lag, but in the end still managed to get loads of stuff... only bought stuff for myself cos erm i think pple would have whacked me if i gave them some of the stuff i bought. XD la la.

2nd day, supposed to go statue of liberty, but no passes to go up, so ended up shopping at century 21, got a pair of nine west sunnies for 10USD, XD need to go wash it first tho, got lots of smudges everywhere from pple trying it on... then went to empire state building in the afternoon and almost got blown away. XD kidding. nice view up there... also went past ground zero. they're rebuilding already, and the site is HUGE. seriuosly. it looked much much smaller from all teh video footage. went to watch musical in the evening... wanted lion king, but no good seats, so ended up watchign beauty and the beast. it was highly entertaining, except i object that they made the beast to be some tough wuss. but it was funny. XD times square at nite is WOW. all the lights everywhere, and cute M&M ads.

3rd day, don't remember. but i know there was shopping involved. ecept i don't remember whether there was sight seeing in the morning. XD oh wait, there was. we went to the UN building. funky place. a little run down tho... they had cute coffee holders, but i don't drink coffee so no point buying. kinda regret now. oh well. maybe i'll get to go back again some other time? XD

4th day, went to statue of liberty, no passes again, so decided to just go and see teh island anyway. my feet got... tanned very interestingly. i'll stick that photo up here later... let's just say you get entertaining tan lines when you wear closed shoes with a wide strap across your foot. XD (didn't help that i wore birkies the rest of the trip and got ANOTHER tan line... so i now have interesting feet) after that was MORE shopping, and then watched chicago musical at nite. wow, the singing was really good... and all the fishnet was... vaguely scary. XD there was one girl, she was seriously skinny... you could see her abs (she had a 6-pack!!) AND her ribs... through the fishnet. if that isn't scary i dunno wat is. -_-" but ya, it was entertaining.

5th day, finished off the shopping rounds, by now we'd more or less filled all our luggages 75%. ^_^" cheap shopping is my friend. went back early cos sis had to leave early the next day to go montreal, and we had to go catch the coach to DC.

6th day 5h coach ride... belive me, the streets of NY are hell... the drivers are nuts and psychotic, they make the s'pore cabbies seem perfectly sane and docile when it comes to the generous use of their horns and cutting lanes AND fighting for space with tourbuses with only a few inches to spare. very scary. and trust me, pedestrains don't have the right of way. the minute the light changes, the horns start blaring and they just zoom straight at you as you dash across teh last few feet to the pavement as though they're aiming to knock you down. the pple are almost equally psychotic, they move super fast. and the subways have no escalators, so poor mum had to climb up and down... so we had to plan stop with minimal subway climbing. and then there's psychotic pple on teh subway too... prime example is this guy who started pumping pushups, stood up, farted and went 'oh yeeeaaahhh.' needless to say, everyone moved to the OTHER door to get off the car. turns out he's a street vendor, but still. it was... an experience. ^_^"

7th day went on a full day bus tour of DC... saw the war memorials, and the white house (not enough time to get off to walk ard there so nope, i couldn't go kill bush for you mr veggie. altho i did see a keychain that had a countdown to his last day in office. XD) apparently there's a woman who's been living outside the white house since 1981. that's wat the tour driver said anyway. XD also went to george washington's house, it's really pretty, and the view! the back of the house faces the river and it's beautiful, we only saw in in mid-day, but imagine how it would have been at sunset and sunrise. will put a pic of that up too. went to the bookshop on the way home and bought 2 books - '2 little girls in blue' and the LotR trilogy. the first book is pretty itneresting, abt twins and how they can 'talk' to each other. it's fiction. and the LotR book was the one i was eyeing in borders last sem... la la... lovely lovely cheap books... do you know how much we get ripped off after they convert the US prices for all teh books?!?!?! grrrr..

8th day, went to teh holocaust museum... it was really sad looking at all teh exhibits... there was one with all teh shoes and it was... profound? i dunno wat the word is, but you just look at the pile of shoes and know it only represents a small fraction of the pple who died... and you wonder how on earth they could do stuff like that to other human beings... they were also doing medical experiments on pple in the camps, and it was really scary, cos i mean, how on earth could the doctors do that? and it was really sad too. very educational and very sad.

9th day, went to the air and space museum, cool planes and shuttles!!! was 'educating' mum. XD told her she had to read the flight mechanics and then i was going to test her. she almost fainted. XD hahaha, i'm so evil to my mummy. XD ya, we saw the wright brothers' plane, apparently it still flies. saw a couple of the war planes as well... it's amazing loking at how much the technology had advanced btwn the WW1 and WW2, the WW1 planes were so... flimsy and bulky, compared to the WW2 fighters. and i finally know who the red baron is... after reading all the snoopy comic strips. ^_^" after that went shopping at pentagon city, which is the nearest shopping complex to DC. imagine that.

10th day, 5h coach ride back to NY, 1h coach to ariport, arrived so bloody early, cos we didn't want to get stuck in traffic, that the SQ counters weren't even open!!!! hahaha, but the ride were interesting... cos DC is a really peaceful place where drivers actualyl stop for you to cross the road, and i didn't hear a single siren of car horn the few days we were there... the minute we went through the lincoln tunnel into NY, police sirens, bad traffic and lots of horning. -_-" saw a psycho car cut into our lane, and then the bus turned and the side mirror was seriuosly about to scrape the back of a truck!!! scareee... ya. so we waited at the airport for 3h to check in our luggage, then another 4h for boarding... i finished my book and scared mum at the speed i read. XD there was a thunderstorm so we had to wait on the plane for 1.5h for clearance to take off... oh and there was this realyl cute indian toddler who was high on smthg running ard the lounge... he kept going to the fridge and going 'ooooooooh' at the drinks on sale there, and his mum had to come retrieve him, bring him back to the other end where they were sitting. and then 10 min later he'd be back... finally she gave him his bottle and started wheeling him ard in his stroller balanced on the 2 back wheels, prob cos he'd have hopped off and started running again if it was down on all 4 wheels. XD crazy kid.

movies galore on teh flight back! watched 'hero' again cos i like teh pretty colours and costumes... can't remember wat else i watched besides that, 'wedding crashers' and 'bridge (or was it road?) to terabithia'. i wasn't expecting it to end that way... i was crying at one point (those who watched it will prob know where) which is very unlike me, so i'm glad mum was asleep otehrwise she'd have thot i'd cracke dit or smthg... oh well.

landed at 6.30, back home and checking results at abt the time i posted the last entry, so yup, that's the end of the summary, XDXD

uploaded photos to my laptop last nite, also finished reading MAR manga... kinda crappy ending, moved too fast... the fight btwn ginta and phantom wasn't satisfying enough, it shud have been longer and more flashy!!! i mean, ya, ginta's the good guy so he has to win, but seriously, phantom lost too easily!!! mou! sigh. went to sleep at 11, woke up at 6 and there you have it, me blogging now. XD la la la

i think i'm going to the trinity memorial place later with mum, will go see deb's parents during summer hols cos no time this round... maybe will drop by a florist and see if they got any decent flowers left in the afternoon... they tend to sell the prettier ones in the morning ne? oh well, see how. KK says the court case still hasn't been settled. so i was wondering what if, what IF, there was foul play? would it change anything? prob not. i dunno. sigh. hmm... guess i'll write her parents a card after getting back to melb and tell them abt the dream. maybe.

mum's awake and amazed that i'm up. hahaha. which means that now i don't have an excuse not to unpack my luggage (which was in her room) anymore... desu desu desu. okies. better get going then. bye!

yup, i 'm back. just got off the plane an hour or so ago, dashed online to check my results, I PASSSED~!!! well, i got a P for DMF and a H2B for HP so it's on to research year! woot!!

and in case anyone's wondering, i just sent out an apology e-mail.

and random point of information? i haven't showered or brushed my teeth for abt... 30+ hours now. XDXDXD *watches everyone run away* ok ok. kidding. i'm going to bathe and sleep now... or smthg. will blog more abt everything else later. XD and maybe upload some photos or smthg if i can fix the connection program on my laptop. XD

Apology

ok, fine so my conscience decided to step in and give me a kick upside the head

i'm sorry, not for what i said, but for how i said it. it wasn't the nicest of things but i won't say that i regret posting what i did. it made me feel good, but i'm sorry i did it that way and with less warning than i should have given. but i would like to know what this 'suicidal depression and months of emotional anguish' is all about and who is this 'one of your closest friends' that i should be apologising to.

so there you have it. an apology. not much of one but still one. i don't care what the world thinks of me, but what's done is done. a request though, just leave me alone and maybe i'll start thinking straight again. i don't know what's wrong with me but it'll pass. it's happened before anyway. in case anyone's interested, it happened 2 years ago. go figure who it was.

a random question. what's the difference between being happily depressed and depressedly happy? apart from the fact that they're both oxymorons. sometimes i wonder if i'm either one. oh well.

Henry Zhao, this is a warning and I'm serious. If you don't stop all your nonsense and idiocy when commenting on my blog, I'm going to block you.

and in case you think this is a joke, no, it's not. i am pissed off with you. VERY pissed off. why? because it has become apparent that you have no tact. you don't know when to draw the line when it comes to some things.

for the record, i do not advertise for 'baby-makers' on my blog. if you choose to read it that way, i suggest that you get your literary skills checked. maybe you should stop reading your textbooks and go out and see the world a bit, it might actually broaden your horizons a little and hopefully cure you of being a male chauvinist pig. although i sometimes wonder if you're already too far gone for that.

and i would DEARLY appreciate it if you stopped drawing parallels as and when you feel like it. you may think that you are being witty and oh-so-funny but sadly, you are not. you are just being a pain in the ass and frankly, i don't know why i put up with it.

i'm sorry if i've offended anyone else in this post, but let me make this clear: i'm not all sugary sweet and happy-go-lucky as many of you would like to believe. trust me when i say that i have quite a temper and it takes a lot to make me blow up. and if you've managed to push me this far, i suggest that you go take cover before i really lose it. and one more thing, if i want to hold a grudge, i can hold it for a very long time. it may not be that apparent, but there are some things that i do hold against people who have pissed me off even if i seem to have forgiven and forgotten on the surface.

and after that rant, i'm not in the mood to blog about anything else. everyone can go chew on it and be shocked at my behaviour or whatever. i don't bloody care anymore. and if i don't blog tmr then i'll blog again when i get back from new york. bye.

Visions and dreams

i dreamed of deborah again last nite... this time round it wasn't a memory. it was quite an interesting dream actually.

first i dreamed that sis bought me a ticket to watch some movie... except i was running late to redeem the coupon, then i ran into ning and kevin outside the hall and they were waving to me to hurry up cos it was starting soon. so i told them that i had to go swap my coupon first. so i ran to the counter and ran back and finally found my seat, which was more like some glorified hawker centre type of plastic circle. then i fell asleep in the cinema and started dreaming.

she had long hair still and it was in a ponytail, wearing jeans and i think a white printed halter or smthg, i don't really remember, we were outside some building. i was quite surprised to see her, asked her what she was doing here. then she smiled and said she came to see how i was. don't really remember very clearly wat happened, except for the next thing she said which was "i came to confirm that i'm in heaven now." then she hugged me and i woke up from that dream feeling very happy and the movie ended already. so i went bouncing off to find ning and kevin who were outside by the road... sweeping leaves??? -_-" i dunno, there were huge piles of leaves beside them and they were very busy.

so i said "oi, i got smthg to tell you all, it;s abt deborah." and then kevin said "not now, have to clear these, why don't you go tell her parents instead?" so i whipped out my mobile and was going to call her mum, except that (like in real life) my battery died. so i put it back into my bag and said "looks like you guys got no choice but to listen to me now cos i can't call anyone. hahaha."

and then i woke up for real. so, in other words, it was a dream within a dream, but it was very real, i think it was a vision or smthg, cos i cried when i told mum about it when i woke up just now. confirmation of some sorts ne? i didn't actually think that maybe i was still questioning where she is, i'd thot that i'd already accepted and believed, but hey, that was one heck of a dream so... well, thank you God?

other news: i'm goign to watch pirates 3 later, i dunno if dad's coming along, i've a feeling he'll fall asleep hahaha. oh well. and then there's cell tonite too.

DoC, at 2nd last chapter. but they're the really long ones, oh oh oh, i managed to beat the 100 enemies mission! without dying too sadly!! woot! well, i died one time, so i restarted again, and then i beat them!!! yay for muchly upgraded weapons... was a close call a coupleof times, especially when the heavy soldiers surrounded me and started beating the shit out of poor vincent with the bazookas and swords... and teh stupid DG elites who can't be shot... had to run up to them and beat them up cos i didn't want to waste my limit breaker on them... ya, so i managed to get the gold moogle doll adn sold it for a very nice amt of money, so i now have very highly modified weapons and i is HAPPY. XD i sold the model gun tho, don't have enough cash to modify it to the ultima weapon... it takes like 250 000 gil to do that, no way am i going to be able to amass that much money... maybe in the mode that allow carry over from previuos games... la la. ya, so i've maxed out the hydra and the griffon, the cerberus has 1 more modification left to become maxed out... might max out the long barrel too? see if i got enough cash...

okie. shall go and put on make up now... la la la... trigger happiness is good for the fangirl soul. hahaah

amy-chan: no, i won't get lost with a map... i've got the best map reading skills in teh family... in fact, i think mum's the only one who will get lost with AND without a map. -_-"

stupid amoeba: no, i don't want to have emo spiderman's babies. in fact, since you're so obsessed with having babies, why don't YOU do it? or better still, work up the guts to ask julia if she'll do it? *evil laugh*

in other news, i'm now onto chapter 10 of Dirge... fun part yay~! lots of sniping and stuff, i'm getting better at it, altho now it seems that i'm starting to drop the rate of critical shots cos i can't be bothered lining up for the perfect head shot unless i'm sniping... oh well. still didn't manage to save all teh WRO members from teh chopper attack. sigh. and teh gatling gun is still a pain to use, but i'm getting better at that too. XD hm... can prob finish dirge before leaving, then the question is wat to play next, was planning to try to clear ff8, but now i'm having FPS urges, which means either FMA or matrix... my aim is to play matrix again one day, this time PROPERLY. ie: not just holding down the trigger button and blasting everything out of my way. imagine this, i play as Ghost, who's the best marksman in the crew, and guess wat my accuracy rate is? 0.05% -_-" that should say enough abt how fast i blaze thru my clips? XD nah, will try to use the crosshair next time i play... too bad it doesn't do auto-lock-on like in dirge...

spiderman yesterday was... alright. not as nice as the previous, but the action was good... and omg! new goblin is HOT~! XDXD altho i don't see why it had to end that way. then again, given how the cartoon went on and on forever when spidey tried to marry MJ (and she ended up as aquaman or watever his name is' clone. -_-") la la... but yes, i highly fangirls the new goblin. XD erm... venom... was venom really the photographer? i thot that venom was the space guy from the previuos movie?? hmm... shall ask lyd next time, she'll know. if she doesn't i can ask jon.

saw the posters for fantastic 4.. is SAD. cos i thot that silver surfer was coming out as his own movie, but turns out that he's coming out in the fantastic 4 movie, means that he'll be the bad guy. *sniffle* ok, so he'll be an impressive bad guy (looking forward to the CGI, that should be quite cool) but but but i LIKE silver surfer! oh well. as long as there's lots of crack from johnny (the human torch or watever his name is) i don't care.

going to watch pirates tmr... i dunno if dad's coming... was quite funny, he was the one who wanted to watch spidey, and then guess wat he did? he fell asleep. -_-" conclusion is that we're very glad he gets teh senior citizen ticket. so he gets dolby surround sound and a plushy chair to fall asleep in for $3.50. *rofl*

i think i'm supposed to be looking at the washington itinery with mum, except she's still pottering ard somewhere...... la la la la... oh and i need to write the next chapter of my mercverse story. sigh. lalala. okie. shall go surf and wait for her to turn up. whee! bye desu~!

Finger exercises

whee~! nice to know i haven't completely lost my touch with FPS games. XD i did the training simulation before starting dirge yesterday and i got rec-ed to play under 'hard' instead of 'normal'~! XD but me being the lazy ass decided to play as' normal' first... so that way i can breeze thru everything and not curse myself for being over ambitious like in KH2 jap version where i played under expert just to see teh secret ending altho ididn't even know wat the commands stood for. hahaha. yup, anyway, DoC is going peachily, finished 6 chapters yesterday, but those were the easy ones. the fun starts now - just after yuffie rescued vincent's pretty ass from nibelheim. hahah, i love their exchange in the van after yuffie bashes her head in:

V: so, where are we?
Y: ow, can't you show some concern?
V: yuffie. it's been a long time. how's your head?
Y: can't you at least pretend to be a little sympathetic?
V *blank look*

yup, anyway, am goign to watch spidey 3 with parents now, then we're going parkway to buy dad a new phone. his old one died after many years of service, so now we're dreading having to teach him how to use a colour phone. hahahaha. lala. then there's the packing to do for NY... is fun fun fun! altho a little scary at how i'll be left to take mum ard washington cos sis will be off to montreal for her conference thingy... oh well, as long as we have a map i doubt we'll get lost. XD

Back to base!

halo everyone!

yes i'm home, erm, and since i'm too lazy to change the time settings, please subtract 2h from all posts starting today. ^_^ so. if anyon'e wondering why i'm actually awake at 10, i just got home from the dentist... i now have 1 less wisdom tooth. haha, omg, it was HUGE. the dentist gave me the tooth to keep, so after mum finishes soaking it in bleach maybe i'll take a photo of it. hahaha, funky. XDXD ya. no surgery, thank goodness. just an extraction. which was kinda scary in itself cos i've never any teeth extracted by the dentist before... nope, when my milk teeth were falling out, i used to pull them out myself... or else my sisters would most gladly do it for me. -_-" but anyway, my left cheek is now numb. which is good. i hope it won't hurt too much later. i'm going to go play ps2 after thsi bWHAHAHA.

ohohoh, and i is muchly SAD. i've been banned from donwloading ANYTHING this hols. and prob all future hols.... sniff. apparently there's been a crackdown on bittorrent users... even sis fiance said not to d/l just in case, cos he's also no. 1 pirate... ya... so katkat i can't get the last ep of hanadan in eng sub... sorry!!! and that means no anime, no IWGP and... watever else i was planning to d/l. sob sob. oh well, i was going to try to cut down on teh piracy, so guess it's going to start this way. ^_^" at least i've a whole stash of anime thati haven't touched yet... so that should keep me busy for a while when i'm not blowing stuff up in DoC. XD whee!

it was a mad rush getting ready yesterday morning... slept at 12.30, woke up at 5... did laundry, only realised i forgot ot put my towel in with the rest of teh stuff when i came back upstairs and was washing my spectacles and drying them and then i was like 'wait.... why is my towel here???' so i had to handwash it. sigh... managed to finish packing the aprtment and everything, but i can't remember if i erm... flushed the toilet before i left. ^_^" it was just random bits of tissue from blowing my nose so nothing disgusting. hehehe. ^_^" lala. then,. got to the bus terminal.. .teh airport shuttle left just as i'd paid for my ticket at the counter! so i had to wait 15 more min to get the next bus. -_-" then this guy came up and sat in front of me and said hi, and i went "erm... who are you?" and he told me he was my batchmate. me = ??? oh. erm, ok? then i plugged in my earphones and anti-socialized. hahahaha. i think he's my batchmate. he looks familiar... do we have a sing/m'sian jason in our batch anyway???? *scratch head* ya. anyway.

got to the airport, check-in line for internet was wonderfully short. so i breezed right thru and was wandering ard before deciding to go thru customs when it suddenly occurred to me to check my boarding pass. guess wat? i was issued the wrong one. turns out the person next to me had the same surname. so i freaked and ran back to the counter to get it changed... haha. then went thru customs... the lady was joking that she wanted to confiscate my box of krispy kremes... then my shoes made the scanner beep so i had to walk back and forth many time... i think it was the bling on the straps? ya, then they made me chuck out the water in my bottle, didn't know they're so strict now. bought a tube of lip gloss and they had to seal it into this HUGE plastic bag that was quite overkill. seriously. it was funny... one biiiiiiiiiiig plastic bag... with a small tube of glass at the bottom. *rofl*

pretty good movies on board... i watched ghostrider and shooter... they'ree showing 300 next month. yay! altho, isn't 300 a bit too gory for inflight movies? but then again, they did show kill bill so. *shrugs* anyway, overall flight back was ok... the pilot sounded normal, the leading stewardess sounded like she was trying very hard to speak the good english and failing miserably. seriously. i don't get why they have to try to put on teh fake american accent. it just sounds even worse with all the singlish overtones and the inflections on the wrong syllables. *shudders* there was this toddler and his mum brought him on walks up and down my aisle... he was very fascinated with my juice cup (which was empty) for some reason and kept trying to steal it so i had to take it away before he decided to put it in his mouth cos his mum was trying (rahter unsuccessfully) to get him to leave me alone so i could watch my movies... but good thing abt the flight was that altho there were qutie a few kids on board, it wasn't that noisy. maybe cos it's a daytime flight? i dunno. but ya, if it wasn't for the rush of getting ready in teh morning, i don't mind taking that flight, more peaceful. sort of.

got home and had grand opening ceremony of luggage... the plastic bags for teh nuts split open, so thankgoodness i packed them into the smaller handcarry luggage... sis gobbled her donut striaght away. we ate half the box for brekkie this morning. then we went to jumbo for idnner... yummy pepper crab!!! very nice food, sis is planning to come back and eat again with me before i leave bwahahaha. ya. seafooof is good for teh straving to death soul. and YAY! no need to cook for myself for a month. hahahaha

okie, i think that's abt it, leaving for new york next sunday morning, is excited! 18 plane ride... haven't done anythine near that since i last went to uk in... j1? which was... 5 years ago? and that's 13h... hm, hope they'll have more movies on board. and anyway, there's always the computer games, failing which i could just nap and read my book. whee!

right, off to go hug the PS2. VINCENT!!! ♥_♥ sqee~!

ahem. in other words, i'm high on lack of sleep. so what am i doing blogging so.. .early in the morning? well, i needed to clear my hard drive of some stuff so i can leech from katkat tmr... and tenimyu was taking ages to transfer. -_-" oh and i'm watiing for my phoen to charge too so i don't get stranded without a phone tmr when we're meeting to go cafe. XD

anyway, i slept 3h last nite/this morning. ^_^" when my alarm went off i was like 'bleeeh??' so i dragged myself into the shower for a nice hot wake up shower... my room's a mini-icebox sometimes. -_-" ya... thenw as a little late meeting zhuanster, so she left without me! lucky i wasn't that far behind, saw her walking down teh street in front of me and chased her down... then was asking abg IgM and IgG cos i got confused last nite (incidetally i managed to finish reading all my notes. and pbl. go me) ya... got to the exam hall and hung ard... was making fun of mag cos she brought her racket along, so was saying smthg to the effect that she can use it to threaten bodily harm on sandra if she gets stuck doing the paper. XD

paper was pretty good, one of the best pbls i've sat for in fact... i actually understood all the questions!!! and could answer most of them (altho some were utter shit and obscure) i just hope that my answers make logical sense... everyone seemed to be scribbling madly... my hand and neck died on me halfway through... so was doing wierd stretching exercises. hahaha... ya... and surprisingly i didn't feel like my brain was full of cotton wool despite hte lack of sleep. thank God for that. XD

so yes, the exams are OVER! and i'm HAPPY!! hahaha... went to buy juice and toilet paper after that, was supposed to go get choc for sis, except that i decided i was going to fall asleep walking to the city again.. so i did my laundry and vacuumed my living room and then i crashed in bed for 3h... woke up and went for dance, chuan tai adn chun came along to watch. tyson was being nuts as usual, was telling me how once he got drunk and attempted to fly in the pub. fly = doing the chicken arms flap flap flap. -_-" chun was staring at him with this 'omg he's nuts' looks on her face, so he started doing teh funky chicken. *dies laughing* i told him that he's my weekly therapy session. hahaha. did lots of rumba technique... i think 'm getting there... not so airy fairy anymore... but it's easier cos it's slow, so got time to think abt how to get my body into which position with how much pressure on the hands and how to step properly, will prob have to relearn it for chacha. weh...

went to grad house for dinner... we were insulting each other, esp chun and koala... me and fct are teh ebil bwahahaha. and then yuxi was being EVIL. >< he played a trick on me where he got me confused with who owes who money, ending up with me $5 richer before we started (ie: owing him money) so i hunted him down to sort it out cos i don't like owing pple money... then koala managed to convince chun to go get ice cream with him... i didn't go cos i was getting stoned adn i needed to pack.

came home and sorted out the filing and all teh papers scattered over my floor. then pulled my luggage down adn started dumping stuff in. so now i can see my bedroom floor once more! hahaha... need to vacuum it tmr too... and clean the bathroom... fun fun fun.

erm... ya, i think that's all... shall go and sleep now... oh, was tempted to get a window seat for the flight back this time round, except i decided that though it'd be nice to see the skyline for once, it wasn't really worth having to climb over on my way in and out... sides, if i buy krispy kremes, they might get smashed in teh overhead compartment, whereas the compartments for the middle aisle seats tend to be emptier? i dunno. but oh well, maybe i can get a window seat when we go NY... exciting! en-chan the jetsetter!!! mum was saying that i'm really not going to have much time to do anything this hols, and i was like no, i will MAKE TIME to play computer games. and she basically told me that i'm mad. XD hahaha. oh yes, and i just rememebr i need to print a journal article to read abt scorpion venoms. so i shall go do that now and go sleep. nite ntie everyone!

yes! 1 more paper!! so wat if it's pbl, I DON'T CARE THE EXAMS ARE ENDING TMR EVERYONE SMILE AND BE HAPPY DAMMIT!

ahem.

OSCE today... can i just say that i rocked up feeling quite stoned, thanks to all the fic reading and website surfing last nite. sigh. did i mention that sometimes i want to smack myself? ya. so i only got 5h sleep AGAIN when i could actually have gotten 8... -_-"

anyway. OSCE. was... ok. omg, sexual history came out, like, i thot they wouldn't be that evil, right??? WRONG. i was reading the write-up, it said 'blah blah blah came in with a rash' and i thought, 'ok, must be a skin condition. revise itching, allergies, meds blah blah blah.'

walked into the room, opened the interview and the patient said 'i've got a rash down there'.
me: *blink* where?
patient: *looks down* down there
me: oh. erm, where exactly?
patient describes vaguely
me: oh. ok. erm, can you tell me more? *mental conversation: shit shit shit SHIT THIS IS NOT HAPPENING*

in short, i waffled my way thru. i got stuck so i jumped to social history... but i totally forgot to ask wat type of sex and if he used protection and whether he had any medical conditions... sigh. oh well. hopefully they'll give me extra points for saying 'bless you!' when he sneezed halfway. XD he was joking that the rash was not only itchy but also caused him to sneeze.

physical exam was the cardio, including blood pressure. omg, i panicked when i realized that i had to use some dual stethoscope thing so the examiner could hear the BP as well... i felt so stupid, took me 3 times to get it... poor guy's arm must have been dying. ya... first time, i swore i felt a pulse on the outside of his arm... inflated the cuff, deflated, no sound. ok. felt for pulse again. turns out it was on the OTHER side of the arm. inflated cuff, deflated cuff. still no bloody sound. starting to panic. told examiner "sorry, i don't hear anything, i swear i felt a pulse there." the patient laughs "omg, i think i lost my pulse!". me "oh dear, erm, let me try again." inflate cuff, deflate... YES I HEAR THE HEARTSOUNDS!!! i just hope that i got the correct reading... i know i got the bottom right, but i'm not sure abt the top... lalala. ya. then i whipped thru the rest of the exam, ended exactly at 8 min... didn't get asked any special qn thank goodness.

was stressing abt whether we'd get called back to retake, then someone pointed out (quite logically) that since it's not a hurdle this year, we won't get called back to retake the exam, cos it'll just contribute to your end grade, so if you fail, well, you just get lousier grades. well. that makes me feel better now, knowing that i'm not going to be going lalalala ont eh plane home and there's someone desperately trying to ring me... not that i'm intending to fail anything, but yanno, paranoid and all... oh no, i just realised i forgot to wash/say i washed my hands before starting the exam. -_-" ARGH. nvm. stop thinking abt it.

came back and crashed on my couch for an hour... woke up a coupl of times cos i was freezing but too deaded to go get a thicker jumper to put on, was just sleeping in my formal attire with my thin coat over me... lalala... ya... anyway, better go finish dinner and pia pbl... 17h (and a bit less) to freedom! no exams for a year! looking for that, i'm abt to scream... oh, and on a random note, i've decided to keep my hair long again.... who knows, if i don't get too hot and cut it all off instead, by next year during austin placement, erm, you might not recognise me with the long hair?? hahaha... oh, and yolanda was looking at my student id this afternoon and she was commenting that i had fatter cheeks in year 1!!! seriously? i don't think i've lost weight, in fact it hink i put on weight!!! or maybe it's becos my hair was more layered then, so it was thinner and made my face fatter??? hmmmm

ANYWAY. finish dinner, go study! will sleep by erm... 3. cos that the latest i can go to get 5h sleep... my bed is calling my name... must... resist!!! @_@

whee! survived HP. think it was quite ok??? quite pissed off actually, there were sooo many icm questions that i regret not reading my icm books instead of the stupid reader... and all the notes that i took last nite! i can't believe i cleared 14 lectures from 10pm-5am!!! and mostly for nothing!!! anyway. the mcq was doable. apart from a couple of WTF questions...

the essays... well, a bit rusty from not crapping for too long, but i think i managed to churn on substantial waffling. hahahaha... i hope that it made sense though, i had a tendency to just ramble on and write sentences that were 5 lines long. XD and for strange reason, i couldn't write properly today... usually i separate my letters, but today everything was all large and looped together. -_-" oh well, at least it's still readable...

came home... slept in my chair for an hour. i just realised smthg really stupid... i could actually be sleeping in a way that doesn't screw up my neck - on my couch. -_-" but then, i'd prob freeze in teh process cos i'm not draggign my heater all the way out to the living room... altho i could turn on the wall unit?? but that's be a waste of electricity. hahaa. is cheapo desu XD looks like 2 years of being in JC with xinmin and daniel(le oh dear, i swear i'm really going to walk into his surgery one day or smthg and go hi danielle at hi and everyone will be like OMG! reverse transvestite!) hahahaha

eating dinner now. decided not to watch heroes... will go home and wathc today's episode... will start mugging icm after this... sigh... icm... how bad can it be right? according to everyone else: very bad. i... shall not think abt that. i will concentrate on being a nice sweet and empathic person... then i'll score FULL MARKS!! hahaha. i think it actually is possible to get full marks... if you impress them enough such that they give you 5/5 for the final impression?? cos if you get all the history points (and remember to introduce yourself of course)

oh and i decided to pack my cupboard just now. -_-" char concludes that i did it cos i'm excited abt going home. i concluded that i've almost totally lost it cos given that my room's in the state of erm... chaos for the past 2 weeks, i don't see why i should be havign packing urges when it can jolly well wait till friday nite. -_-" but oh well. it means that there's one less pile of mess ont eh floor behind me. XD

interrogating kk on how to play ff8. will try to finish it in the intervals that i'm home... aiming for 40h... which is hopefully doable if i jsut run from all the battles? hahahaha. see how that goes. if not i might bittorrent it and then burn it onto a dvd and play next sem... la la la...

mum rang this afternoon. to check if i'm really up to movie marathoning the minute i get home. XD told me that i better sleep on saturday nite, so i said that i'll purposely not sleep, then she can see my panda eyes the mintue i get off the plane and see why everyone's so scared of me when i'm high on lack of sleep XD

in other news i found this absolute kick-ass site that has loads of computer game soundtracks up for d/l!! so i now have a complete collection of the bust-a-groove bgm XD ya, a bit the tacky but oh well, i like some of the songs. tempted to go home and play also. *head desk* and here's another crack site the person draws crack comics involving rufus shinra and various other games characters. haven't got round to looking at all of them yet, but i found the linked one especially funny... the whole emo-party and getting squall and sasuke to gang up against poor rufus XD hahaha

no, i haven't lost count. the countdown is now for how many days to going home. XD

and as zhuanster put it so nicely while we were walking back after the paper, we're 25% done. it sounds much... nicer and grander than "3 more papers!!", gives you a feeling of accomplishment. hahaha.

i was feeling very happy this morning when i woke up. which is... rare for exams. considering that i woke up early (1h early actually, except i was dozing in bed cos it was nice and warm until zhuanster's sms woke me 30 min later) and i'd slept at 6.50... which is also very rare cos i usually don't sleep before 7 the day exams start, and i'd actually managed to finish reading everything. so anyway, i dragged self out of bed and had time to reread notes before going on a walk to wilson hall.

btw, is it or is it not winter yet? i swear it was rather hot today... or maybe it's just me. but anyway, exam.... some questions were lifesavers... but i managed to screw them up. *head desk* i still CAN'T believe i forgot wat metronidazole is, and it's so easy!!! i really almost started banging my head on the desk when i saw that word and ahd a mental blank... argh. and i got rotavirus and influenza mixed up!!! *fans self* ok. breathe breathe.

apart from that, paper was ok... guessed quite a few qn as usual, but overall i think it'll be fine... it's bloody stuffy in wilson hall tho, can't breathe there... and the aisles are too narrow. there was a rather... cough well-rounded invigilator who was walking past my table and she bashed her hip into the desk. -_-" and then she hit my elbow a couple of times. very irritating. and very strong perfume too. everytime i saw her coming after that i tucked my elbows in. haha. i'm evil. oh and i wonder if the invigilators thot i was having fits or smthg, cos i was muttering to myself and then when i was trying to think i'd stare at teh ceiling and make funny faces.. ^_^" yes, en-chan during exams is more mad than usual. la la la.

HP tmr. haven't started. just printed out a couple more articles abt self-care and all that shit... la la la... will finish at a decent time hopefully.. need sleep. and after that it's physical and osce, and then the big pbl paper which i'm not looking forward to... SIGH.

i'd do a happy dance except right now, it's painful enough just moving and cooking...

i hate being a girl. but then again, some pain is worth not being male and stupid all the time. (to all idiot males who wish to comment abt that, DON'T. i'm grumpy enough already)

overslept by 1.5h. woke up to a nightmare that i'd missed the first paper. so i sms-ed char and she replied that she wasn't at the exams therefore i was fine. hahaha. the thing abt not having a paper on monday. sigh.

halfway thru reading immunology (oooo, i think the pink panadol just kicked in. amazing. i swear i could actually feel 'tadah! no more cramps! but i digress) and suddenly everything is starting to fall in place. i love that feeling when suddenly it clicks and i go 'oooooooooh, now WHY didn't i realise that earlier it would have saved a lot of trouble but at least i get it now' hahaha... ya. but yes, enlightenment is good. may that state last till friday at least... wat i find vaguely amusing abt exams is how random bits of info pop up at weird times... like on fri, we were talking abt breast exam and i suddenly felt compelled to babble abt the different pumps for lymph. -_-" and then today when i was cramping muchly, i was thinking abt the pinworm that explodes and sends eggs everywhere. and everytime i think abt it i go ouch. *wince*

anyway, all geared up for exams... cooked my lunch for teh next 3 days this afternoon... beef stew galore. hope it tastes ok. i only realised i forgot to buy an onion when i finished chopping everything up and was staring at it wondering wat was missing. hehehe... dinner for the next few days will be simple, i think i got no food on fri and sat tho??? maybe i'll invite myself to grad house for dinner after dance... say hi to chun... then if we go cafe on sat i'll drag the ning da along and then go visit katkat and get hanadan 2 off her (assuming her computer likes my hard drive and i can clear enough space on my harddrive for it, otherwise i'll have to do it the slow painful way and d/l it when i go home...) and then i'll come home and finish packing and defrosting my fridge (brilliant plan, i'm going to aim my heater at it and turn it on full blast. the joys of a radiation heater) and then i got to put all the stuff back into the fridge and do laundry and make sure that everything's in order. busy busy busy. oh and buy krispy kremes and food for cell and home. think i'll get jam?

excited abt going home!! is planning wat i want to do. well, wat else i want to do besides play and watch movies... like my list of d/ling. XD hanadan 2, hanakimi manga (since toma darling is going to be in the drama and ning da recs the manga), IWGP drama (never got round to getting it off deborah), the misc anime episodes i've missed, sore wa totsuzen arashi no yo ni (altho i alreayd have the vcds... but hey, english subs, and by SARS which is like my fav grp ever, are good for teh fangirl soul) oh yes, and ning da, if you're reading this (if you haven't burnt your internet yet hahaha) prease to let me know if you want me to buy your mags for you... and pass me your kino card if you do. and i will crash your place when i get back next sem and we can have a ko-chan dvd party and piss all your neighbours off... unless you want to come to my place and piss my neighbours off hahaha

[2] Attaining Enlightenment

i finally picked up irene stanley's notes today. and after abt 3h of highlighting furiously and arguing with myself, i FINALLY understand wat's going on. sort of. you know, that sort of shaky understanding that you can confuse me with if you start twisting words and gene products ard??? yay for veggie who help clear some confusion. going to eat those ntoes again after dinner...

i hereby conclude that more soy sauce is better than too little. yesterday's dinner was too bland. today's is nicer. and i realised that the fish-lady only gave me 5 pieces of dory instead of 6... means i'll be short of fish tmr. darn. oh well. will top it up with more mushroom. XD wondering whether i can make a decent salmon omelette with teh canned salmon my mummy bought when she came at beginning of the year. hmm. will experiment some other day when not so short on time.

mummy and sis called again just now. sis is getting very excited abt new york. we're total opposites. she gets pumped up waaaaaaaaay in advance. i only get excited the day before. -_-"' so she can't understand why i keep telling her to shut up when she goes gaga thinkiing of wat to buy. ^_^" la la. and as usual, they were telling me to calm down and destress. ^_^" sis told me (again!) that it doesn't matter if cannot finish studying cos when i graduate noone's going to care wat i scored. so i told her (again!) that she shouldn't be encouraging me to not finish studying and she said (again!) that she's not doing that. and the conversation went on and on and it was highly amusing cos mum kept commenting in the background thinking i could hear her loud and clear. -_-"

oncology lectures are actually interesting. the chemo and radio lectures... well. radiology is a pain in the arse. still haven't touched immunology yet. la la. will definitely finish!!! MUST FINISH!!! *determined look*

off to finish dinner and start mugging again. i've progressed from hugging eeyore while studying to hugging a pillow... don't ask. it's... vaguely therapeutic. i'd hug jin-chan except he's been getting bashed at nite cos i keep rolling onto his paws... so his paws are REALLY stuffingless already. *feels bad* so yes, my pillow is my new best friend. sorry eeyore. i still love all of you tho!! *group hugs stuffed toys*

need to go at super speed already. can't afford to waste time. given the amount of time i've wasted this past week (hell, the past few years of uni) i'd be rich if i got paid for it. -_-"

stayed up till 9... went to the market at 8am... it was very nice and peaceful. the meat sellers recognise me. well, the one at the beef and pork stall at any rate. i think she was quite surprised to see me there so early and by myself... didn't go to the cheese counter cos still have some left and don't want to guzzle myself sick on cheese trying to clear out my fridge as much as possible before leaving. ya... bought a fruit bun from the bread shop, it looks yummy but i have't eaten it yet... going to heat it up and eat with butter for a midnite snack. XD whee!

slept till 5... was planning to wake up at 3.30 actually. -_-" why oh why did i i discover that my phone has a snooze button... sigh... legs are aching thanks to dance, neck and back aching from bad sleeping habits (ie: at the desk), eyes dry from staring at notes... brain pain!!!!

waku rang yesterday and we babbled for almost 10 min... we concluded that since eeyore studies with me, he's a smart ass. therefore i should bring him into the exams with me. then i'll put him on the chair and walk out and come collect him after the paper. but since eeyore can't write, we figured that i shold lodge an application with the DLU to employ waku as his scribe so that way i'll get h1 for my exams. XD and then i came up with an even more brilliant plan, since waku did micro and immuno last sem, i'd tell the DLU that i broke my brain and need her to scribe for me, then with our powers combined we will be the smartest pple in the exam hall!!!! XD and of course, there was her plan for me to steal a virus and let it loose in the department so that the exams get cancelled. hahahaha

sis just rang me. mum is going hyper washing the toilets at home. -_-" she was telling me all abt hte movies coming out at home... ocean's 13, rise of the sliver surfer (omg! omg! i ♥ silver surfer! who's playing him anyway?), pirates 3, spiderman 3, transformers, fantastic four (i think? or was it smthg else?), shrek 3. guess who's going to be camping out at the cinemas with her mummy? XDXD btw, when's harry potter movie coming out? end of the year is it?

yes, so, am muchly looking forward to going home... was making a list of wat to bring home and wat i need to buy too... happens every sem... it's quite funny, cos when i was in college i thot that if i lived by myself, it'd be nice to not rush to go home and stay back for a few days after exams, but i realised that i actually don't really care abt the rush anymore, i just want to go home. even tho i was home just a few weeks. ya. wants to go hooooooooooome!!!! *howls*

ahem. yes. anyway, shall go finish dinner and then start work... so much shit left to study. zhuanster: oi, just to let you know i'm here already. all the rooms are full but i found one in west wing except no equipment.

me: huh??? oh. OH SHIT I OVERSLEPT.

and amazingly, i managed to shower, pack my bag, find my notes from previous sems AND cook my brunch and turned up only 15 min late. we were supposed to meet at 2.30.

but it was a good session. have to run throught teh point for histories tho... and the sequence for exam. and watch all the videos again... and decide what to wear. XD haha... will anyone faint if i do my sweet innocnet pink and white outfit? XD i'm tempted to turn up totally in black... yeah... goth doctor... not. XD oh and must remember to exaggerate the 'general inspection' bit a LOT more. and CUT NAILS!!! otherwise percussing will be the ouch. desu.

43 lectures left. oh helpness. i found out today that the veggie has more screwed sleeping patterns than me. he sleeps from 10am-4pm. O.o *falls down* ok. you hereby win both the 'who sleeps less' and 'who studies more' competition!!! i might try that tmr... depends on wat time i feel like giving up studying, cos i got to go market, so i figure that i might as well KO on my desk for a while, and then get groceries, then sleep thru the afternoon, wake up for dinner and start again... maybe. see how.

kevin: i'm going to bug you if i get stuck at ff8. and ya, i know she got lost at hte dream sequence. she borrowed my discs to play again when i was home in dec... and i was making fun of her cos... she had this thing for training characters... she decided to train up laguna and gang and got lost in the process. -_-" and she trained aeris to level 4 break for fun and all her characters were at lvl 70 by the end of the first disc. which was... insane considering how exp SUCKED in the first disc of ff7. and i think her brothers raised all her chocobos to SS class? *falls down*

erm... ya. so. hmm. dance today. tyson was attempting to be serious. emphasis on attempting. it lasted for 1 min. then he gave up. finally know all the routines... roughly. now we're working on making me less airy-fairy when i dance. so now my legs and my right arm hurts from all the 'come on! push harder! otherwise how am i supposed to lead you!!' with me going 'arm pain!!! ouch ouch ouch.'... hmm... oh well, but it's all good, and i htink we're getting somehwere? shall aim for teh august medal. shud have time? oh and lisa was complaining abt the jive music for grand finals... it's SERIOUSLY fast.. i think it's a christina aguilera song but i'm not sure. ya. we were dancing along and i wanted to die before the the routine ended, and then the song continued for a few more bars. O.o to bad jono's not in the finals, i think he's have fun. and he'd be bouncing off the walls with his crazy jive hahaha.

hmm... wat else... i dunno. oh, for some strange reason, pple have been reading my flame of recca fics. *is touched* and the best part is that in the last 3 months, i've received more reviews for a fic that i stopped writing a loooong time ago, than when i was actually planning to continue it. -_-" interesting. yes, but, i dunno, it's kinda irritating cos i know i'm never going to finish that story cos my style now is totally different, but here's all htese pple going 'update! pls finish!' and i wrote on my bio that i'm not going to finish it... sigh. oh well. nice to know that my writing from long ago is still appreciated XD hahaha. maybe i should try writing lord of the rings again. been a long time since i did that... any suggestions? XD

okie. finish dinner, shower, start studying... it's COLD desu. fingers is freezing. shud shut the window, but if i do then i can't breathe. -_-" sigh.
