Adrenaline rushes

the problem with playing in extra hard mode is that the guide book doesn't have the enemy stats! and there're lots lots LOTS more enemies than in the normal mode.

who tend to jump out at me from behind walls and ard corners or somehow miraculously appear just outside my field of vision and start firing pointblank!

not to mention all those pesky snipers. -_-"

but then again, thank goodness for the ultimate weapon. the range is actually long enough to hit a sniper on a 3rd floor tower and down him in 1 hit. impressive. and a clip of 99 bullets! vs the 84 for the quantum cerberus, 35 for the duelling griffon and 8 for the *insert name i can't remember* hydra. the only complaint i have abt it is that, like the cerberus handguns, it uses 3 bullets at a time. which would explain the nice damage it causes but still.

so i've developed a system of switching for hand to machine guns based on how much ammo i have. and the griffon is usually better for boss fights since the damage it racks up is progressive and it fires much faster. just wish i didn't have to keep reloading. it's amazing how fast i can empty a 35 clip. -_-"

erm ya. so that's my DoC rant for teh day. lol. am abt slightly more than halfway thru? currently in the train graveyard en route to invading the deepgroud base. lots of sniping coming up, not looking forward to that. and all those stupid missions abt keeping the WRO members alive... i basically gave up in the last chapter cos i figured that there was no way i could defend them from missiles coming from the helicopters. lol. i'll try again in the train graveyard i guess. the gil reward at the end of the chapter is just too good to pass up on. am currently not converting any experience to gil. want to see how far that will get me, cos the max level is 50... hmm. see how i guess. added defence would be good, esp in the later stages of teh game.

i htink i'm going out with my mum later. kind of against my will. wants to stay at home and slaaaaaack! but she says that there's a shop somewhere which has cheap glasses frames... the things i do for vanity lol!!!

Trigger happy!

PIANG~ hee. XD

completed dirge of cerebrus on normal mode and with loads of gil... then i started today on extra hard mode and i finally have the ultimate weapon! XD altho nothing beats the death penalty which they only let you use at the final stage... but the ultimate weapon is kind of the in-game equivalent of the death penalty. altho i've found that the griffon is currently my best friend thanks to the high firing rate... ya... so far extra hard has been relatively playable. i almost died when i found out i had to get 26 snipers instead of 15 that normally appear in normal and hard modes... talk abt getting surrounded! they staked out the buildings right at the exit, together with the ground troops so i got KO'd before i realized that there was actually 1 sniper on each side of the building and that all they had to do was aim down into the clearing where i was desperately trying to buy phoenix downs and they could kill me in 2 shots each!! -_-"

but anyway. have kind of got the hang of it, progressing pretty well so far. the main difference is in the sheer number of enemies. and that the game doesn't pause when i'm in the menu screen. so they can attack etc while i'm trying to customize my guns. -_-" not very nice but getting used to it. la la.

i swear i'm going to start on my intro next year. literally. lol. either on the 1st or on the 2nd, if my wisdom tooth op doesn't go thru. if it does go thru, i'm hoping that i don't get totally KO'd. and i want to go and eat cake with da jie and my mummy on fri! so may the op go well. XD la la.

erm... other than that... nothing else of note has happened? i think. oh thanksgiving cell group yesterday was the nuts. 40 pple in the house playing random games = fun laughter peace and joy. apparently my abstract art has greatly improved so now they keep volunteering me to draw for charades/whatever the drawing version is called. hee. i asked my mum whether she wanted me to autograph the mahjong paper i was vandalising so she could frame it. lol!

been playing lots of msn games too... cakemania woot! as everyone can tell, i have no social life. LA LA LA. oh and i dragged my mummy out to watch 'enchanted' and 'golden compass'. not bad. good entertainment. yay for cheap movie tickets lol! oh and i finished reading 'angels and demons' and am now halfway thru 'da vinci code' cos i can't remember wat happened... watched that movie the other day. not bad, the adaptation was pretty good i think. also watched the whole bourne series. i only liked the last one. the other 2 were a bit wtf. la la.

ok. shall go play msn games and maybe more dirge. la la. bye till the next sporadic update!

A quick update

so everyone knows i'm alive. XD

i have a coach bag!! my sisters shipped it in a long time ago but it only arrived today. lol. lucky it's the one i was eyeing. so yay~! XD

the wedding was really fun. lots of interesting things happened... like my dress strap snapping (luckily i was already home for tea ceremony when that happened, so no indecent exposure), and lots of stuff involvin grelatvies. *rolls eyes*

i finished FMA! but i still got my ass kicked by mustang and armstrong altho i managed to last much longer in the fight. but in the end i gave up altho i think i could have won if i'd kept trying. i had enough items to last for a long time more. maybe i should have just used the cannon to fire at them instead of trying to hit them with the sword. wait a minute, why was i using the sword when the lance would have given me a longer reach!! *slaps forehead* oh well. not repeating that experience till i have FMA craving again lol

think i'm going to play dirge later? maybe. i dunno. oh and i'm moving into my sister's room. tonight i think. i dunno. LALALALA.

been watching pussy cat doll auditions. so bitchy that it's entertaining. my goodness. the bimbo vibes is catching. liek, oh my gawd!

Home~!

yes, after a long absence, i'm alive still (and all you pple wishing i'd disappeared fromt eh face of the earth: BLEH~!)

anyway, thanks to the stupid internet company scrapping their service to the building next year, they were rerouting the servers. so guess which building's internet got affected??? didn't have internet at all since last thurs. -_-" and when i called the guy up to scream, he suggested that i try bringing my laptop down to the lobby to see if i can connect there. *rolls eyes* after that, i decided to just give up and live in my pre-internet age. lalala

went DFO on sun~! lots of shopping hee. XD bought a pretty pair of birkies for 110aud! yay! and bought a pair of jeans on sale too... wore them back home in fact, and am now regretting that i didn't bring some belts home cos i can't find my belt... oh wait, my mum says it's hanging behind my door. -_-" how did i miss that? anyway. DFO... i bought a stripy teacup. i think it's the same as waku's so now i won't have an excuse to covet hers anymore hehe... oh dear i hope i don't go on a teapot and cup craze, that would be mad considering i don't drink enough tea to justify it. -_-"

monday, cleaned house like crazy... then went to korean place for dinner, then went to check on the !@#$%^& rabbits... and got clawed by bunny-ie dearest... stupid rabbit. the other one was destructive too. it ripped up all the newspaper in it's enclosure and chucked it EVERYWHERE. ya. so i got scratched... and the cut actualyl started bleeding, which was impressive cos i've never bled from being scratched by an animal before... then we both freaked out and i ended up at st v's ED at 12am for me to get a tetanus shot. thank goodness for OSHC. that visit was worth 130aud!!! madness. and altho the ED was totally empty (well the waiting room was. i don't think the cubicles were since there was a code gray while we were waiting) it still took almost 45 min i think?? ya... so wibbled back home to defrost my fridge... got high hacking out ice with a screwdriver after melting it with my heater. XDXD i got a picture of my sink half full of ice hehe. ya... then cleaned toilet... didn't sleep till 6... then had to wake up at 9.30 cos char's bro dropped by with her dress.

so i woke up and did laundry and vacuumed madly. then ran down to vic mart to buy mushroom cheese and then to krispy kreme's... they were out of the original glazed, so had to wait till almost 1... trammed back and folded laundry in my new record time, then ran downstairs to wait for the bus which was late (as usual) -_-" got to airport and my baggage was exactly 25kg. so it was a huge relief, cos i thot i was going to have to unpakc everything.... and the limit was technically 20, so muchly thankful that hte counter girl let me thru. lala. ya... then found out that there's a krispy kreme counter at the airport. -_-" so my poor self-declared porter had been lugging ard 3 boxes of krispy kremes for the better part of 2h for nothing HAHAHAHAHA. ahem

anyway. flight back was good. the pilot was good, very smooth take off and landing. there was only a bit of turbulence and that wasn't too bad either. movies were pretty good... watched 'stardust'. then watched the first few min of 'ratatouille' before deciding i wanted some explosions and switched to 'die hard 4' except i err... fell asleep halfway thru. -_-" with the sound at abt 70-80%. don't ask. apparently the sound of explosions and shouting is like a lullaby to me. lol. then woke up and watched transformers again since i'd been obsessing over it since getting teh OST. ya. lots of movies i wanted to watch tho... there was 'no reservations' and a few others i can't remember offhand.

landed in T1 and was a bit disoriented at first cos i haven't been there for a long time. so was looking very lo9st in trying to find customs lol. then when i got downstairs to pick up my luggage, i thot my family abandoned me! turns out that my sisters had dragged my mum to hide behind the wall so i couldn't see them and would panic. -_-" and my dad being the blur one jsut followed them. -_-" then we went on a tour of teh carpark cos everyone forgot where my dad parked the car. -_-"

today! got dragged out of bed to go colour hair. not bad, is impressed by the stylist. i have gold highlights on a brown base that is purple under strong light. smthg like that. i dunno. i haven't had the chance to scrutinize my hair under sunlight yet. funny thing is that i got the colour of highlights that my sister wanted adn she got the colour i wanted. and her hair is now coppery. and for once, i don't have any red on my hair at all. lol. after that went to do eyebrows, then had takoyaki adn kaya toast for lunch... then met up with mum and we went to find shoes for her and then buy a bag for sis... went to coach to see if they had the bag i was eyeing, btu it was a sale so the stuff on display wasn't that nice. lala. ya... then got home, corrupted my sis to stupid videos on facebook... eat yummy chicken bee hoon for dinner! and durians!!! yay~!

ya. so that's roughly my life since i last had internet. -_-" going to play msn games and raid the fridge for smelly cheese eventually... or maybe i shud sleep then can wake up early-ish tmr and unpack luggage so that i can go and play DoC with a clear conscience lol! hehehe

i want cookie!!! adn now that da jie is talking abt cheesecake, i want cheesecake too. -_-" i am a pig. damn. i shud lay off hte junk foor for the next week. but that's not going to make much difference anyway hahaha. ok is off to potter ard online now. bye~

Last day~!

yay~! it's my last day at the lab before going home for hols~! yay~!

guess who woke up this morning, decided it wasn't worth the effort of going there early and went back to sleep and woke up at 11.30. ^_^" lalala

anywa. just rang the stupid internet pple. i'll have to get a new phone line to connect my internet next year. -_-" so stupid. irritating. DIE MYNETFONE DIE!!!!

anyway. went to watch 1408 last nite... wah... muchly scary desu! well. it was scary while it was running, but after it ended and we picked it apart, it didn't seem that scary after all... i'm glad i'm not going to be staying by myself in a hotel room anytime soon. -_-" bleh.

need to start planning how i'm going to pack and clean my apt up... hmm... cos i need to clean out my fridge too... so tmr will be settling all the stuff from market, sun go DFO... mon clean like mad... the bus is coming at 1.30 on tues, and hopefully this time it'll be on time and not have to wait wait wait like an idiot lol. ya. and i need to go and dig out my bus ticket too. cos i put it in my SQ ticket folder which i'm not going to be using this time round. busy busy busy.

lab is empty, supervisor is at the beach catching blue-ringed octopus to take photos, HoD hath disappeared, i assume to lunch. am trying to call the ning da now, but her phone is off. -_-" how to go and eat dessert like that!??!!?!?

going for some christmas celebration thing later with koala, lovely goddess and maybe the yuxi. which means i need to siam lab early woohoo! heehe. talk abt slack LA DI DA. anyway. shall go and stone more now.

incidentally, if i MIA over the next few days, either i'm very busy cleaning up my place (omg, the amt of dust is insane, considering i'm on the 6th floor and i don't face the road) or my internet died. it died last nite/early morning, but this death was weird becos it was connected and the data transfers seemed fine, but firefox wouldn't load. strange. stupid mynetfone. BLEH.

guess wat? they just sent me an email saying that the service to my whole apt block is going to be terminated on 1st jan. so i have to go adn find alternative internet and phone.

after making my life difficult, you finally decide to bail. now i have to hope that i can get an internet provider who won't complain if i decide to cut the connection after wat, 3? 4? months? GRR

anyway. am currently surfing the web for internet that doesn't require a contract... foudn one that looks promising so will look into that.

stupid mynetfone. i think i'm going to send them an e-mail asking if i can just stay on their plan. it would save me a lot of trouble even tho i have a love-hate relationship with them. *sulks*

anyway. only came to the lab in the afternoon today... cos i couldn't get out of bed. was actually not going to come at all, but supervisor msg to say that png girl was running assays, so i wibbled down after lunch. incidentally, today's her last day and she bought me a present. -_-" ok. now my conscience is kicking me. -_-" LA LA

Little red dress XD

yaaaaay~~!! i have a DRESS~!!! and it's RED~!!! and it's a tube top that FITS!!! *death glares amy chi* you have no idea how much i'd like to swap fashion positions with you. i think taiwan stuff would fit better and be funkier than most of the aussie stuff i've seen this past week. -_-"

ANYWAY~! after much running ard and stressing, i finally have a dress yay~! was actually going to buy one from bardot, it's sort of like a toga, metallic silver-biege... except it was $100 and the material wasn't that nice... so luckily the tim is the convinces me out of buying it (not bad, i reverse psychology him abt speakers, he reverse psychology me abt clothes. -_-") ya, so ended up dragging him ard the 2nd floor of melb central for the last hour before the shops closed... nad luckily we went into portman's!!! was eyeing this silver swishy tube dress with a black sash, but they didn't have size 6, so it too loose. sad, the material was nice and soft... got the last size 6 of the red dress and was battling the zip in the changing room (i hate it when the zip gets stuck for no reason, and since it zips at the side, your hand cramps cos it's at a really weird position) but i finally got it ona nd it didn't drop down and i could still breathe (but i'll have to sit very straight and eat.... less? i hope not. i fully intend to pig out hehe) and... oh crap. i just realised smthg. my dress is red. i'll be sitting at the head table. ie: the red table. *dies* i hope the table cloth isn't the same colour as my dress. -_-"

BUT ANYWAY! i am happy with my dress. it was cheaper than the bardot one too cos it was discounted. yeah~! *twirls happily*

after shopping, we went to look at JL and KC's bunny. name= bunny, nickname = bunny-ni, mag's name = piper, my name = STEW. haha. i told roger that i had to go pick up a rabbit and he suggested that i cook it. XDXD anyway. the bunny... isn't as big as i thought it would be. and it was very cute, sniffing ard my bags and stuff, until she decided to sniff at my hair by using my back as a support to climb on and her nails are long so she bloody scratched my back. -_-" at least it was thru my t-shirt, but it still hurt! -_-" and somehwo everytime i see her, i feel like stuffing her into a top hat and then pulling her out by her ears. XD hehehe. cruelty to rabbits. then when we saw the new cage, it had a metal grill that you're supposed to put the feed behind... except that it's the perfect length and width to use as a bbq grill for hte bunny, you know, just lay it out with the carrots and potatoes and shove it into the oven or over an open flame... hehehe. diabolical plans +++ woohoo!!

ya... then we went to sofia's for dinner, ordered the cabonara. it was really good, now i see why mag always orders that... but as usual couldn't finish, so i have the box sitting in my fridge at home for dinner or smthg. hehe. my goal is to work my way thru the cake selection... but i don't see that happening anytime soon unless i don't eat for a week or smthg and i just eat dessert without mains. hehe. tim tam cheesecake! doesn't that sound yummy?? looked pretty good too!

hehehe... oh and my hair is now long enough to be braided without me looking too much like a mad woman. dunno whether can still do that after i cut it when i go home... not cutting my hair short, i think, prob jsut going to neaten it up so i can continue growing it out. whee~! *twirls* the ends are almost at the longest i've ever grown my hair too which was for chinese dance in J2... shall see how long i can grow it till before i get irritated and too hot and cut it all off and start again ahahhaha.

ok. shall go and do work now or smthg... and read news. and pose woohoo! *wanders off to eat toblerone and wait for lunch time*

once again it's a tuesday and i feel like i've got cotton wool between my ears. not that i haven't been feeling like that a lot lately. -_-" STONE~! hahaha. chewing gum is my new best fren... i chew gum in the morning to wake up, and then i chew more gum in the afternoon to stay awake. post pradial sleepiness (wat's the scientific name for sleepiness?? somnolance? *scratch head*)

erm... let's see... oh yes, watched beowulf last... thurs? i think? not bad, good animation. angelina jolie is the hot lol. ya. impressive, but beowulf yelling "I AM BEOWULF!!" every 5 min or so got irritating after a while, like, yes, we know that you know your name and are not suffering from dementia in your old age despite being dropped on your head many times in your adventures. you don't need to prove it you know. lol. ^__________^ random conclusion from teh movie? they should make the ruler a queen, not a king, then maybe the curse would be lifted. unless of course, the queen turns lesbian at the sight of angelina jolie wearing nothing but molten gold. lol.

anyway. weekend. sat, got dragged to see speakers. -_-" thankfully i'm not really an audiophile. just give me a set of speakers with good bass and i'm happy. i like bass. XD ya... so pretty shiny speakers. there was a very cute red set, looks like budding yeast. hehehe. ya... so went to see and drool at speakers, then after that went home and watched loads of tv. star wars ep 6 (i think) was showing... and thanks to all the robot chicken crack, when the spoofed scenes played, i started laughing my head off. sigh. i can quote along to robot chicken now lor!!! >< bleh. ya. then "coming to america" showed after that, and it was crack. very very old eddie murphy movie abt him being an african prince who goes to america to find his bride cos he doesn't want an arranged marriage. after that had instant noodles (the ones you cook, not jsut add hot water, believe it or not, that was the first time i'd cooked instant noodles in melb. never got round to buying the packets, i always just ate the cup noodles) and watched more boston legal woohoo~! XD

sun, woke up early-ish by my standards and went to bridge road... and it was LOUSY. after braving the stupid flies and hot weather and hopping madly from one side of the road to the other, all i bought was a red top and a bottle of body shop moisturiser (which was on sale hehe) ya... tried on this really really pretty dress tho, cos i grabbed it off the rack without looking at the price first, as i usually do... and omg it's a tube dress that actually fits everywhere!!! ie: doesn't fall off. lol. i think amy-chan would know very well how i feel abt tube dresses since i dragged her shopping for my dinner dress last year and i was complaining madly abt how i neede stuffing at strategic places. ^_^" the price on the other hand was very ahem, pretty. abt 300 SGD. ouch. and then went back to the city (we were starving to death by then cos we didn't eat brekkie or lunch cos bridge road food is teh over-priced. went o ICE to see if they still had the dress i was eyeing, but there was only 1 piece left and in medium!!! *cries* so ya. didn't manage to find the dress in the end.

yesterday, did my monday routine of debating with myself the pros and cons of going to the lab. didn't help that hte weather was nice and grey and rainy. as usual, the pros of staying at home won, but eventually i moved my butt out of bed and went to the lab where i proceeded to stone and surf the net and play msn games. hehe. ya. left early(ish) and ran down to myer to check out the basement... tried on a dress by bardot 5 min before closing, so took pics and sent themt o sis and mum. sis says that i can buy it as my bridesmaid dress, so will go down again either today or tmr to buy? or maybe i shud wait for this weekend when i'm planning to go on a rampage at DFO and raid the stores at central as well. really regret not going shopping earlier, like during the melb cup season. all those pretty dresses i could have bought. i hate the fashion in aus. it's trashy half the time. -_-" but ya... i'm really contemplating buying the hoodie long top thing from valleygirl. as part of my mission to act cute... but it's 30aud... tempting temtping... mayeb i'll go and see see again next time i'm at central? i think it's just my shopping vibes being repressed. there's nothing more irritating than being in a shopping mood and not having anything to buy. GR. after that i ended up at big w where i bought a funky laptop case. so i don't have to lug my heavy one ard yay~! then went for thai food and yummy strawberry crepe. ^_______^ came up with lots of weird and random logic once more. i never fail to impress myself. hahaha~

this morning, went to meet supervisor at the cafe down the road. discussed project, so i'm going to write up my intro during the hols and plan wat i'm going to do next sem. will be going full steam with the experiments when i get back. sigh. really need to sit down and think where i want this project to go cos the scope is just too wide to cover. lalala.

sleeeeeeeeepy. as usual. think i shall stroll down to union to buy a quiche or smthg. then i'll camp in the tea room and stone and eat cos i forgot to bring my story book along. lalaa. ok. i is disappears now whee~!

ps: i think it's time to change layout?? maybe? any suggestions as to who i should mutilate use next? actually, i'm feeling lazy. it'll prob stay like this for a long time more unless i feel creative one day hehe
